• 07:00 Pick you up from your hotel, heading off to Alexandria city on the Mediterranean, about 95 km from Cairo.
• 10:00 Arrive in Alexandria, and start to explore this vibrant city with your private guide visiting the most famous sights including Pompey’s Pillar, an 82-foot tall column carved from red Aswan granite and erected in honour of Emperor Diocletian.
• 11:30 Move on to visit the ancient Roman ampitheatre which dates from the Second Century and then continue to the Greco-Roman Museum which houses an amazing assortment of mummies, sarcophagi and statues.
• 13:00 Enjoy lunch on the Corniche overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
• 15:00 Continue the tour to visit the beautiful Montaza Palace and Gardens before heading to the Catacombs of Kom-el-Shouqafa. Arguably the highlight of any visit to Alexandria, this warren of tombs, chambers and hallways occupies the largest known roman burial site in Egypt.
